  1. What?! No retrieving inside the house? Does she not know the retriever’s most satisfying accomplishment is to cram as many soft toys into their mouths as possible in one go? This feat actually has practical uses as it both proves the hound’s carrying capabilities, and serves as a warning as to how much of your dinner it WILL snaffle at once. Beware the gaping maw of a hungry retriever. ps, your sister needs training.

  2. That’s sooo cute!!! Yea, It’s is a different rule, it would be nice for them to have a chew toy or two inside, but I mean, maybe she gets tired of picking up toys everywhere, I know i do. At least if all the toys are outside they can be left wherever. If the dogs are let out every day to play with their toys in the yard for a few hours a day, it’s no different than playing inside. It’s probably better especially when you have a small home and not a lot of room. If I had a backyard I’d let my dog out there to play everyday, they’d probably have more fun than playing inside.

If the pups are happy, loved and taken care of well I say, let them be! Every household is different.

  3. My 2yo yellow lab would do ANYTHING for a stick. He rips apart our trees and prunes small trees so new sticks grow out from them. We had lawn services take a very large branch down and they cut it into logs to remove from our yard but left one huge log and he thinks it is the best stick ever.. but we have to hide it cuz he drops it on our feet or rams into our legs with it.. we put it high up in a tree and now whenever we let him out he leaps like 6 feet into the air trying to jump to the log in the tree. When he gives up, he grabs woodchips from our landscaped area and puts them at our feet and waits for us to throw it very anxiously! Doing high speed tippy taps and boofing at us to throw the woodchip.. we always do though.
