  1. I do the same with my old boy. Sometimes I sleep on the kitchen floor so he knows I’m close. May not be the most comfortable but it makes him feel better. Best of luck with your lovely lady 😊

  2. oh this makes me miss the samoyed i grew up with. she and i were the same age. she loved the cool tile and her hips got so bad she needed help up to get back up everytime. her name was haley and she was the best of doggos. and my german shepherd is almost 8 and very gray and it makes me sad. enjoy the senior doggies. they’re the best.

  3. Years ago my ex had a yellow lab who had joint issues, Buddy was around 8-9 at the time… we bought him some supplements, I believe Glucosamine & wow, what a difference! She’s a sweet gal, luv her to pieces! 💕

  4. My Labrador had bad hips and he loved to lay in piles of snow. Felt so bad when I had to make him come in because it was just too cold for him to be out too long but I always gave him a couple minutes.

  5. We got a cooling pad for our senior guy and he loves it. It is pressure activated so there is no water involved and it stays cold for hours. I have tried it and it really does work. We put his favorite blanket over the pad and he lays on it during the day. Even our 4 year old Aussie has started to lay on it at night after her run.

  6. The Queen. Long live the queen.

Cooling pads do wonders. But the better quality, some cheap supermarket ones don’t work. Cold towels UNDER her, too. Crow’s feet raw or cooked with gelatin added to eat as they make the joins more flexible.

  7. I have a 14 year old goldie, she does the same. Although I do give her blankets at night, because I’m scared the cold floor might hurt her joints.

  8. aww. my fiancés family had an old golden retriever, with hip dysplasia. she loved to sit, or “wiggle” on her back, on the cool tile. I never thought that it might be to get relief from pain.
